ICO Winter Meeting 2024

The Irish College of Ophthalmologists annual Winter Meeting took place on the afternoon of Friday, 15th November 2024 at the Albert Theatre in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.  The theme of discussion ‘What Might the Future of Practice Look Like’? explored the evolving dynamics of public and private healthcare practice in Ireland, addressing potential transformations over the coming years.

Discussions focused on the evolving landscape of public and private practice in Ireland with presenters and panelists sharing their impressions of the changing ownership and funding models, and how the development of medicine as a business with the entrance of investment capital, impacts the delivery of care.

The meeting took place on Friday, 15 November at the Albert Lecture Theatre, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin.
