Practitioners health programme ‘remains open and available’

By Mindo - 18th Mar 2020

The Practitioner Health Matters Programme (PHMP) has moved to assure healthcare professionals that it remains open and available to offer assistance to them following the outbreak of Covid-19 in Ireland.

In a letter to colleagues, Dr Ide Delargy, Medical Director, PHMP, and Dr Justin Brophy, Consultant Psychiatrist, PHMP, said “we recognise these are unprecedented times for Irish doctors, dentists and pharmacists.”

The independent service provides free, confidential care and support to healthcare professionals and is funded by representative bodies and organisations.

In the coming months, healthcare workers will come under intense strain as cases of Covid-19 are expected to rise sharply.
