The HSE will seek additional insights into why staff leave their positions or transfer to different areas within the organisation.
A spokesperson informed the Medical Independent (MI)
that an updated “leavers’ report” will form a “strong foundation” for developing staff retention strategies.
In May, the HSE’s people and culture committee received an update on the progress of the recruitment resourcing and retention strategy. According to the meeting minutes, members were informed that “a revised HR106 form has been published” and went live at the end of 2023. This form collects the “reasons for leaving” from all employees departing
their positions.
The committee was advised that the data collected will generate a leavers’ report to “provide a strong foundation for targeted retention strategies”.
The HR106 form is required when an employee is leaving the HSE or transferring to another payroll area. It serves to notify payroll, HR, and pensions departments, initiating the process of updating the relevant systems.
The HSE spokesperson told MI that the leavers’ report “is not new” and is used to produce reports on movement “within/from the HSE in regards to turnover of staff”.
However, the HR106 form “is now updated to include more detailed and up-to-date reasons for leaving”.
According to minutes of the HSE people and culture committee meeting in October 2022, members queried if the Executive “had accurate data regarding reasons why staff leave… this information is critical in formulating strategies to improve retention rates”.
But they block giving the true reasons for leaving, this is a joke, HSE are incompetent bullies
