Approximately 200 participants gathered for a special family function organised by the Association of Irish Pakistani Physicians and Surgeons (AIPPS) Ireland. The attendees included doctors and their families from across Ireland.
President Mr Nauman Nabi welcomed the audience to the event, which was co-hosted
by Dr Ali Raza Ansari and Dr Asif Anwar. Dr Moazzam Gulzar outlined the achievements of AIPPS, while Dr Farkhanda Qaiser launched the Association’s website.
All executive members took part in the ribbon- cutting ceremony to mark the website launch. Special cakes in the design of Irish and Pakistani flags were also enjoyed and children were entertained by a magician.
Participants were treated to live music and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Closing remarks were by Vice- President Dr Aziz Ur Rehman.
The doctors thanked the Irish community for their continued support and wished to have similar functions again to enjoy time with their families and get some relief from their busy working lives in Irish healthcare.
